As you'll notice, we are increasing our mileage. The lowest mileage would be the 70 percent crew @ 31 miles. I know some of you are even exceeding the 44 in the past couple weeks. You are proving what you can do just off of a base of miles. Just wait until we begin our "quality" workouts in September.
Another first for our varsity crew will be the addition of a double-day on Wednesday capped off with a race at Legg Lake. More details on that on Tuesday night's post. I really want to see a big turn-out for that. There aren't too many more opportunities to get the race experience before the season.
I will be ordering the T-Shirts this Tuesday after the conclusion of the voting. It looks like a tight race between two slogans! You better hurry and get your neighbors in on the vote...but it looks like you've already been there, done that. :)
Tomorrow's run will begin @ 5:30pm. The team agreed that we would continue with this time as a way to "acclimate" to the afternoon heat which is something we'll need to do come September. By the way, the only change in time will be on Fridays which is at the same time as Tuesday through Thursday--@ 6 a.m.
The Map...The Art Center run. Get your mile warm-up and jog a half-mile after the run. That will put you at the desired mileage.
I think we should have a quick 24 hour vote between just the two winning slogans, so we can make sure that we have everyone's feedback on which of those two are better. Otherwise, there are at least 20 votes for other slogans that might swing it.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to point out that voting on multiple servers has swayed the vote significantly...I saw twenty more votes go to the "one weak" one between 10:30 last night and 8:00 this morning....seriously.
