RHL #2--(results and evaluation) & Practice Info.

We will get official results as soon as they come in...(probably tomorrow night!)--but mine are pretty close. Here's the link.

The Race

I realize you (as a whole) were running tired and you might not have had your best race. If you have recently been sick, you probably felt more fatigue than most. That, and the extra distance yesterday, definitely made you slightly less than your best. Your coaches are not surprised and, in fact, we totally expected it. That's okay. When we get to our third Rio Hondo race--The Finals-- which is just a few weeks away, we will be rested for it! You will feel a huge difference and will feel like you have a new set of legs! Believe it or not, running tired right now has always been part of the plan. While we were without some key players today, I'm confident we will bounce back stronger than ever. So, yes, we were down a bit today, but we are certainly not out--definitely not!

Even running tired, we came away from today's race with some very good individual performances as well as some very solid team efforts.

Highlights:
  • Individual Race Winners--Sean Leddie, Kaitlin Fuelling, and Andrew Fisher
  • Sub-16 performance: Aayush Shah
  • Sub-20 performances: Kaitlin Fuelling and Molly Scott
Tomorrow's Practice:
  • Easy Mile Warm-up
  • Light Stretching (please don't sit down after your mile)
  • Easy recovery run--VB (6 and map), VG/FSB/JVB (6 and map), JVG (4 and map)
