Site of the State Meet: Woodward Park in Fresno, CA
Course Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)
Course Conversion: It's appr. 18 seconds slower than Mt. SAC OR equivalent to CV course times.
1987 (First year California holds a State Championships meet.) There were only 3 divisions for both boys and girls.
In 1991, Division 4 is added to the mix.
In 1996, Division 5 is added.
The first few years (1987-1989), La Cañada didn't have any representation (individual or team).
However, the Rio Hondo League was represented with our cross-valley rivals: San Marino and South Pasadena.
1988: South Pasadena Boys were 4th place in Division 2.
1989: South Pasadena Boys were 4th again; San Marino Girls placed 6th. (Division 2)
1990: Div. 3--San Marino Girls win it all as Champions of Division 3; San Marino Boys take 2nd spot!
1991: San Marino Girls take 2nd Place; San Marino Boys take 2nd Place
1992: San Marino Boys take 2nd Place
1993: San Marino Boys take 4th Place
